just over a week

We are just over a week away from going into the clinic again for our cycle review. We will spend an hour or so signing our consents (which took 4 hours to read), going over the type of medication I will be on and of course, the payment. Next Wednesday I will stop the birth control (for ever!) and then a few days later start on all of my daily injections. It will get very busy from there on out as I will be traveling to the clinic every day for blood work and ultrasounds. Our egg retrieval date (so far) is June 10th or 11th. So close! Just five days after that we will know how many embryos have been created. It is hard to believe all of our potential future children will all be ready to go in less than a months time. Crazy. For everyone who is supporting us, thank you and your prayers are heard! Our prayer for these coming weeks are that my blood work levels stay within safe ranges and that we would recieve the perfect amount of embryos to move forward with. For now we will wait and remain in trust.

I have also started on my acupuncture sessions. I am not into the spiritual side of it but it absolutely is relaxing and many studies have shown huge improvements for conception and lower stress levels. The large improvement with conception rates in the study is when the woman receives acupuncture 20 minutes before the embryo transfer and 20 minutes after. I am seeing someone in Barrie from Rooted in Health but she has connections in Toronto. Essentially, an acupuncturist come with us to the clinic on transfer day to preform my sessions! I just think that is so neat! If anything, it does improve blood flow to the uterus and is a great relaxing tool.

I want you to know that we are so excited to fill this house will all of you in the future. Everything that we have had to go through is more than worth it to have you here one day. If you are a girl, then during your teenage years I know you will read this, and if you are a boy, well you may never! But know that love is a key ingredient in bringing you here. I adore the idea of you and pray for your future. There is so much prayer covering your future life already. Most importantly, never forget that you are the son or daughter of a King. A living King, who was, and is, and is to come. He knew you would be here well before I was even born. Incredible.
