“I have found the one whom my soul loves” – Song of Solomon 3:4

Four years ago today I married the man that God had planned for me for my whole life! I often ponder how incredible it must be for God to see the birth of a baby and then see the birth of another baby a few months or years later, knowing that the two will one day commit their lives to each other. I love how that even when Mitch was living in Barrie and I was across the world in Germany, our future was already ordained by God. CRAZY and LOVE it.

We had dated for 4 ½ years before that day and couldn’t be any more excited for our marriage to begin. I remember going to marriage small groups with Mitch before we were engaged that paved the way for our story. Those teachings were hands down the best decisions we ever made for our relationship. Since getting married we have traveled to so many beautiful places, grown together in careers and education, added to our family, moved into our century home and are now on our baby making journey. It has been an absolute blast! He is my best friend and we literally make each other laugh every day until we are bent over because it hurts so much. We are so in sync and I am so thankful for Him.

If you don’t know my husband, Mitchell…well, you should! Today as a proud wife and his biggest cheerleader I am going to tell you just how amazing he is. Firstly, he is a man of God. He has come so far in his spiritual walk and seeing God’s active hand at work in his life is beautiful. As difficult as it is sometimes to stay out of what the world has to offer, he comes out on top, not being shaken in his faith. He is a huge servant in his relationships and in our marriage. Mitchell has integrity, which means he guards his eyes, shields his heart, and protects his marriage. Our marriage is deeply rooted in a covenant that is solid because Mitchell puts 110% into this every day. He blows me away with how much love he has to give. He is slow to anger and he praises me in my storms. He knows that forgiveness brings freedom and forgives those who have betrayed him and speaks blessings over them. Most of all, I know to my core, that if all was lost and we had no home, if we never were to have children, or if I was to loose my body through multiple children, if I lost my job, if I became ill…. He would never leave me or forsake me.

That is who Mitch is.
