twenty four - thirty four weeks

We have been in our final trimester for a while now! Time has flown by so fast since twelve weeks. I absolutely love being pregnant but we are so ready to bring this girl into the world! The last few months have had lots of changes. Other than being very tired and short of breath at work and at night, I don't have any other typical symptoms, and so far I am still sleeping great. Very thankful. The baby herself is a mover and a shaker and has been since 16 weeks. These feelings are incredible and I am so ready to do this over and over with our remaining four.

As we are now six weeks out until our due date. We have been going to more midwife appointments and attending prenatal and gentle birth classes taught by our doula. I am so excited to have the incredible doula, Toni Botas, there by our side as we journey through brith. If you are interested in having a doula or are curious as to what they bring to the table, Toni's company is called Bien Aime Doula Care. Please look them up as there are many fabulous doulas in her group! Doulas are recognized through many organizations and research to aid in shorter labour, reduce the risk of cesarian rate, reduced epidural requests, reduced analgesia use and much more. They also provide evidence based research to help new parents navigate through their rights and wishes with labour and delivery.

Something else we have been getting organized are our cloth diapers. I have learned there are many routes to go for cloth diapering and we have chosen the diaper cover and prefold route. We have all of our covers and this year we are using a diaper service for the prefolds so we don't have to worry about a wash routine. We may buy our own next year. Other than that, all of our diapers, clothes, sheets, you name it, has all been washed and put away. Our room is complete minus hanging some pictures. We have our car seat and have nothing else to purchase! - yay! I will be posting another post from our amazing shower soon. Also, the incredible Magna from Magna Arnott Photography will be photographing our maternity shoot on April 9th, so stay tuned! We will have full shots of our nursery taken then! Super excited!
